13th Annual General Meeting of Partners In Protection

The 2009 Partners In Protection Association Annual General Meeting will be held in Jasper, at the Jasper Park Lodge, on October 14, 15 and 16th.

Protection agencies and municipal leaders from across Canada will gather to examine the challenges they face in protecting communities in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI). Municipal growth in forested areas is happening at a rapid pace. The complicated task of protecting the public from harm can be muddled by multiple agencies with overlapping responsibilities. We will work together to provide solutions to these challenges.

Learn from the experts as they cover operational best practices, innovations and procedures for preparedness and response. Topics covered include firefighter safety, engaging community stakeholders as partners and improving community planning projects.
