Hazard AssessmentHazard assessments are an important step in raising awareness of the interface fire problem and identifying the need for mitigative action. Wildland-urban interface hazard assessment forms provide individuals and agency personnel with a structured and practical approach to assessing the interface fire hazard. The Structure and Site Hazard Assessment Form evaluates the characteristics of a building and the area within 30 m of the building. The Area Hazard Assessment Form assesses site characteristics greater than 30 m from the building itself. Completing both forms provides a comprehensive assessment of the interface fire hazard to which a property is exposed, from the perspective of the general area as well as the local site and the building itself. Before attempting to complete the interactive forms, please be sure to read the special note about technical requirements below. ![]() ![]() Is your property at risk? If you wish, you may download both of these assessments, as well as the Fire Ignition and Fire Suppression Checklists in a single PDF file. These PDF files may be viewed using Adobe® Reader®.
